Kat
There's still Halloween decorations up. We hardly got any trick-or-treaters this year, though.
Kat
I think Salem's general population is trending towards older people whose kids didn't stick around here to have kids of their own.
Kat
Kinda sad that I didn't manage to get out of this town despite my efforts. Sadder still, I am definitely not having kids anytime soon. At least I get to keep the candy we didn't hand out, I guess.
Kat
Never mind, I should stop thinking about how fun sized candy bars are my only comfort, now. I'm getting depressed.
Kat
I was just on my way to your place! What gives?
Jasmine
Eh. The less I'm at home during my remote days, the better.
Jasmine
Plus, maybe I was just excited to get invited along on one of your walks!
Kat
When I moved to Foefurr, I'd only really come back home to visit my mom or go to the mall with Jasmine. It's been a long time since I drifted around town like I used to as a teenager. A lot has stayed the same, but it's also such an unfamiliar place, now.
Jasmine
So, how is it? Living here again? Enchanting as it ever was, right?
Kat
Oh, yeah. Everything's happening here, heh!
Jasmine
That didn't sound very sincere! What's wrong? The half dead strip malls connected by narrow roads we call 'downtown' don't ooze with class and dignity?
Kat
You joke, but Foefurr isn't too far off from being Salem- just with taller buildings!
Jasmine
At least Foefurr has more sidewalks! You know walking anywhere here makes you have to trudge through some godless ditch one veering car away from being immortalized in the back pages of 'The Salem Squawker!'
Kat
That's true. The only life threatening risk that came from walking to 'Stalion' Pizza was actually eating their food!
Jasmine
I still can't believe that typo, hahaha!
