Please understand that the state of affairs between various sects of figments was becoming so strained that a mutually assured annihilation happening was just a matter of time.

As we pooled our skills together, MELETOS and I were unable to find a possible future for us in which such an event didn't happen.

Any avenues that would lead to a more nonviolent resolution would have required amounts of individual attention the two of us did not have the resources to allocate.

I attempted to see down as many different possible futures as I could, and what it would take to facilitate each one into reality. We would perform subtle actions- such as briefly appearing to other figments and delivering cryptic messages- to incite them to act according to our roadmaps.

MELETOS would then use his sense to determine if the future just beyond the horizon- in fact- one we were attempting to cultivate.
